SVA’s Welsh and Ibinger Author Article For Journal of Construction Accounting and Taxation

Theran Welsh, CPA and Ted Ibinger, CPA have authored an article for the Journal of Construction Accounting and Taxation titled “Best Business Practice Habits – Focus on Cash Flow”.

Cash management for a construction company is a practice habit the best companies focus on daily as they look to improve overall performance of their organization. It requires a consistent effort from the entire organization to understand each respective role in the process if they expect to see improvement. It’s the execution within the organization that results in great performance. Without the practice habits applied consistently, greater cash flow and greater profitability cannot be assured.

Theran is a Principal with SVA Certified Public Accountants with focused expertise in the construction industry. He has experience advising construction CEOs and helps construction companies select a choice of entity to reduce tax liability, as well as set business strategies while developing initiatives for contractors to increase shareholder value. Utilizing his industry expertise, Theran also assists construction clients in analyzing overhead recovery methods, identifying areas of tax exposure, and searching out specific opportunities for tax savings.

Ted is a Manager with SVA Certified Public Accountants with expertise in the real estate industry. Throughout the year, he consults with clients to minimize their tax liabilities. He provides guidance on tax planning opportunities to businesses, along with the individual owners of those businesses. He helps with structuring real estate deals and consulting for placing the building in service. In addition to tax planning and tax preparation, Ted provides guidance on IRS and state audits and notices, tax research, and tax credits for his clients.
