SVA’s Rachel McAlexander Presents Seminar on Cryptocurrency

SVA Certified Public Accountants professional Rachel McAlexander, EA will present a seminar for the State Bar of Wisconsin’s 41^st Annual Family Law Workshop on August 5, 2022 in Sturgeon Bay, WI.

The presentation, titled Cryptocurrency: What is it and How to Handle it in a Divorce, will begin with a discussion on the history of cryptocurrency and how it works. Specific topics that will be covered are how cryptocurrency is acquired and stored, how it gets its value, and how it’s taxed. The seminar will then focus on how these digital assets are handled in a divorce.

Rachel is a Senior Manager with SVA Certified Public Accountants and works closely with businesses advising them on tax and accounting issues that may arise throughout the year. She provides guidance and support on a variety of issues including IRS and state audits, entity sales analysis, cancellation of debt, gifting, general accounting, various tax credits, and growth opportunities.
