Grantmakers must strengthen their relationships and understand the questions to ask to invest in viable, sustainable organizations. Kirsten’s webinar will help grantmakers understand their grantees’ financial heath, pinpoint red flags, and measure against benchmarks. Attendees will learn what to look for on the organization’s audited financial statements, how to assess the grantee’s financial viability, what red flags to be aware of, and what are the top financial health indicators of the organization.
Kirsten is a Principal at SVA Certified Public Accountants and focuses her expertise on the nonprofit and real estate industries. She has a wealth of nonprofit knowledge relating to taxation, specifically the nuances included in Form 990. In addition, Kirsten has expertise in financial accounting, financial statement review, and audit. She works with a variety of nonprofit organizations including charitable organizations, membership and trade associations, and those organizations receiving federal and state funding.
