Kirsten is a Principal at SVA Certified Public Accountants and focuses her expertise on the nonprofit and real estate industries.

In addition to providing audit, accounting, and tax service specific to the real estate and nonprofit industries, Kirsten also provides review, compilation, and management advisory services.

Kirsten has a wealth of nonprofit knowledge relating to taxation, specifically the nuances included in Form 990. In addition, Kirsten has expertise in financial accounting, financial statement review and audit specific to the nonprofit sector where she works with a variety of nonprofit organizations including charitable organizations, membership and trade associations and those organizations receiving federal and state funding.  Kirsten holds a Certificate of Nonprofit Board Consulting from Board Source® and leads the SVA Board Building training program.

Kirsten’s real estate industry expertise includes audits required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) and Single Audits as required by the Uniform Guidance.
