SVA’s Heslinga and Fearn Explore Energy Opportunities Under the Inflation Reduction Act

SVA Certified Public Accountants professionals Lynn Heslinga, CPA and Chris Fearn, CPA will present an educational session at WI-CARH’s (Wisconsin Council for Affordable and Rural Housing) 24^th Annual Conference on November 8, 2023 in the Wisconsin Dells.

Energy Opportunities Under the Inflation Reduction Act will discuss the new and expanded opportunities for energy efficiency and solar development in affordable housing under the Inflation Reduction Act. Lynn and Chris will break down the various credits, grants, and rebates available from this important federal legislation and what they mean for the housing industry.

Lynn is a Principal with SVA Certified Public Accountants with expertise in the real estate and nonprofit industries. In her role, she oversees and performs audits for owners of affordable multifamily housing units. In addition to her real estate expertise, she also manages and performs audits and tax services for a variety of nonprofit organizations including charitable organizations as well as membership and trade associations. Lynn also performs audits of nonprofit organizations receiving federal and state funding.

Chris is a Principal with SVA Certified Public Accountants with expertise in the real estate and nonprofit industries. In his role, he manages and performs audits for owners of affordable multifamily housing projects receiving Section 42 Low-Income Housing Tax Credits. He also manages and performs audits for owners of projects involving other federal government agencies, including the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Rural Development.
