As 2021 begins, it’s a good time to reassess one’s practice and consider changes that should be implemented in the new year. One item to consider is the development of a plan to achieve three goals or metrics in 2021. Also changing the entity selection could save on payroll and income taxes along with potentially reducing the risk of an IRS audit. Further recommendations are ensuring fees are up to market value, creating a competitive compensation package, benchmarking against key industry metrics to determine where expenses might be high, and refinancing debt while interest rates are low.
