Shawn Miller

On The Job 

Shawn is a Senior Manager with SVA Certified Public Accountants with expertise in the real estate and nonprofit industries.

Shawn oversees and performs audit and tax services for owners of a variety of affordable multifamily housing projects including projects that receive Section 42 Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits. Shawn also provides consulting to owners who receive tax credits under these programs, related to various compliance issues, such as tenant file maintenance and complying with federal and state regulations.

Shawn also manages and performs audits for owners of projects receiving federal financial assistance from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Rural Development (RD), and other federal agencies. Shawn assists housing authorities with their ongoing compliance and reporting requirements. He has many years of experience working with these programs, including previous work experience with a property management company.

In addition to his real estate expertise, he also manages and performs audits and other attest work for a variety of nonprofit organizations, including charitable organizations, as well as membership and trade associations.
