Kurt is the Director of Tax at SVA Certified Public Accountants.

In his role, he provides strategic tax planning and compliance services to closely held businesses and their owners. In addition to serving clients, Kurt plays a key leadership role within the firm’s tax practice, supporting the development, consistency, and quality of tax services delivered across the firm.

Kurt is involved in overseeing complex tax engagements, mentoring and developing tax professionals, and serving as a technical resource for the firm on advanced federal and state tax matters. He collaborates closely with other tax leaders to establish best practices, improve processes, and ensure the firm remains current on evolving tax laws and regulatory guidance.

Kurt has extensive experience advising clients on business and individual income tax planning, entity structuring, and transactional tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions and ownership transitions. His work focuses on helping clients identify practical, tax-efficient strategies that align with both immediate needs and long-term objectives.

With both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, Kurt brings a broad perspective to tax planning that integrates technical tax knowledge with a strong understanding of legal considerations. He is committed to delivering thoughtful solutions while helping strengthen the firm’s tax practice through leadership, collaboration, and professional development.
