Joe Henry is proud of the heritage of his business and the J. Henry & Sons story. Joe and his wife Liz took over the farm from Joe’s dad and they eventually started the bourbon business, J. Henry & Sons. The family business includes Joe and Liz Henry and their 2 sons, Joe Jr. and Jack.

The farm raises hybrid seed corn as well as corn, wheat, and rye for the bourbon production. Their bourbon is aged over five years and is sold through distributors or at their onsite tasting room.

SVA has been an advisor for this unique family-owned business for many years.

“We began with SVA almost 35 years ago, starting out primarily with tax work and transitioned over the last ten years to estate planning and transition planning,” says Joe. “What’s been great about working with SVA is they have a broad range of skills and people who are very knowledgeable.”
