SVA Certified Public Accountants professional Kirsten Houghton, CPA, MBA will present an educational seminar on September 17, 2019 for Numbers 4 Nonprofits.
The presentation, Board Governance Red Flags, will uncover the warning signs that lead into situations that include, but are not limited to, disorganized or ineffective board meetings, lack of diversity of opinion, and board member apathy and poor attendance. Attendees will walk away with ways to identify red flags and strategies to resolve them so the Board can do what’s most important – supporting and ensuring the organization’s mission and impact.
Kirsten is a Principal and head of Nonprofit Services at SVA Certified Public Accountants, S.C. In addition to providing audit, accounting, and tax services, Kirsten also provides review, compilation, and management advisory services. In addition, Kirsten has expertise in financial accounting, financial statement review and audit specific to the nonprofit sector where she works with a variety of nonprofit organizations including charitable organizations, membership and trade associations and those organizations receiving federal and state funding.
