SVA’s Weyenberg Presents at WALA Annual Spring Conference

SVA Certified Public Accountants professional Glen Weyenberg, CPA presents an education session at the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA) Annual Spring Conference on March 16, 2018. 

Not only is a budget a planning tool that reflects an organization’s programs, mission and strategic plan, but it also is a process for determining and detailing long- and short-term financial goals.  Glen’s presentation, Building a Budget from the Ground Up, will discuss the way an organization goes about building this important financial tool. 

Glen is Principal-in-Charge of Real Estate Services at SVA Certified Public Accountants, S.C. He is involved in every phase of structuring real estate transactions. Glen specializes in up-front structuring of real estate developments. These services include maximizing the impact of tax credits, various financing options, negotiating with investors and lenders, and formulating operating and exit strategies. Glen works with many entities that receive special tax credits, such as low-income housing credits, rehabilitation structure credits, energy credits, and new markets credits.

About the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA)

The Wisconsin Assisted Living Association was founded in 1994. At the time, assisted living was growing as a preferred option in the care continuum for the elderly. Families were (and still are) seeking compassionate, non-institutional care environments for their loved ones.

As assisted living emerged from its infancy, the need for an organization to look out for the interests of assisted living providers and related businesses grew as well. From the State Capitol to the small town, providers and partners needed legislative advocacy, public awareness and educational programming.
