New partner offers and onboarding
Profitability and growth strategies
Village Family Dental & Orthodontics has been in business for over 55 years and has grown to 3 locations with over 54 employees. The practice includes 6 dentists and an orthodontist serving the communities of Sauk Prairie, Black Earth, and Spring Green.
“We have relied on SVA’s experience working with dental practices for over 30 years,” says Dr. Todd Stahnke, DDS. “When we grew from a one-dentist practice to three, we also outgrew our local CPA. We brought in SVA because of their reputation in the community and their depth of knowledge that we knew our practice would benefit from.”
They were looking for a more experienced accounting firm that could help their dental practice grow into the future. Understanding they needed a business partner to help them with practice management and financial analysis, they chose SVA.
“SVA has helped us look at opportunities for new locations and as we look to grow, they help us determine what plan is financially feasible and a good business decision,” continues Dr. Stahnke.
As partners transition into retirement and life after dentistry, SVA helps with transition plans and partner buy-outs. When bringing in new associates to the practice, SVA provides a framework for the onboarding process from offer to reviewing practice numbers and goals, ensuring the new associate is comfortable with joining the practice.
Thirty years later, the business relationship with SVA and Village Family Dental continues to thrive.
“Our practice owners benefit from monthly meetings with SVA to review practice numbers as well as the yearly financial analysis to benchmark us against our goals,” states Dr. Stahnke. “SVA helps us with practice management so we can focus on our patient care.”
