When it came time for the Madison Public Library Foundation to choose an auditor, they looked for someone who understood their organization and the many nuances of nonprofit financials. The Foundation is required to submit their financial statements to the City of Madison, and they needed someone who could provide an accurate audit in a condensed timeframe. The library has many initiatives including capital campaigns, endowments, annual fund drives and grants which creates a complexity to their financials that varies from year to year.
